Tao Ruspoli and Olivia Wilde were official divorced recently after filing in February however the couple appear to remain close after recently spending some time together in Venice, California with a friend at Rose 76 restaurant.
No reason was given for their meetup, although sources close to the couple say they have remained friends following their divorce.
Wilde met her ex-husband at Burning Man festival in the Nevada Desert when she was just 18 and he was 26, they later married on a school bus and then lived in the bus to satisfy their unconventional bohemian lifestyle.
With such an unconventional marriage it shouldn’t surprise many fans of the actress to know she’s still friends with her ex, the type of friendship we often don’t see from Hollywood stars after their splits which are often marred with behind the back talking and rude Tweets about their former partners.
Since their separation Wilde has been linked to Ryan Gosling and Justin Timberlake.
On the other hand Wilde recently admitted that it’s hard adjusting to single life:
‘The trauma of the [divorce] has been humbling. And for the first time, I’m a little wobbly. I’m a case of arrested development, in a way — from spending your 20s with someone who really loves to take care of you, as my husband did.”
For now their meetup is purely speculative but I’m going with the “just friends” theory.
