Miranda Kerr is known as one of the most beautiful super models in the world. But when discussing her career with The Edit magazine, Miranda came to a very different assessment on who she is. As quoted by Cover Media , Kerr had this to say about other people’s perception of her:

“From my first photoshoot at 14, I never saw myself as a model. If someone asks me what I do, I say, ‘I have my own skincare line.’ I don’t define myself as a model.”

The skin care line Miranda Kerr is referring to is KORA Organics which launched in 2009. The line features natural skin care products and keeps Kerr occupied when she’s not parading down the cat-walk. But despite the extra work load, Miranda says that her involvement in the organization is nothing short of positive:

“I really like the mental stimulation that I get from KORA, making executive decisions,” she said. “I’m very driven. I don’t ever feel stressed; I feel calm when I’m multi-tasking.

Whether or not the public views Miranda Kerr as a successful business woman or a successful super model, the one thing she shared is that she is very much human. Following Kerr’s split with actor Orlando Bloom, the 31-year-old opened up to The Edit magazine about the effects her divorce had on her emotional well being:

“We all have bad days and negative emotions,” Kerr said as quoted by US Weekly . “But I’ve realized it’s important to sit with it and let it pass, and if it doesn’t pass, choose a thought that will help it pass. Focus on what it is that you’re grateful for. Having perspective is key.”

Describing herself as “heart-centred” Kerr went on to further explain how she got through the emotions of divorce: “I always look for the best in every situation, no matter what it is. Even if it’s something that’s sad, upsetting or disappointing at the time, I think, ‘There’s a reason for this.’”

Another aspect of her life that has helped her move on is the time spent with her son Flynn, whom she had when she was still married to Orlando Bloom . She told The Edit : “I feel happiest when I’m with my son at the beach or the park.” But she also mentioned that she’s careful about how public she makes him. “Privacy is the most important thing, especially being a mother,” she said.

Speaking of her son Flynn, Miranda Kerr recently joined forces with her curly-haired little guy for a Vogue Australia fashion spread. The black-and-white photo shoot marked the modeling debut for Flynn alongside his always stunning mommy.
