Maxwell’s been singing soulful sounds for more than 25 years. The 41-year-old Grammy Award-winning singer has even revealed that he has plans to release yet another new album some time this year.

According to The Huffington Post , in addition to a new album, he also has plans for a tour titled Summer Solstice. But, there’s more to the “Fortunate” singer’s life than success in the music industry. He also shared details about a number of other plans he has for the year. He’s ready to settle down on the home front. The singer revealed that the loss of a loved one caused the delay of his 2009 album BLACKsummers’night and prompted the desire to start a family.

“Hopefully getting married, having kids — the whole thing… I mean, it’s not my ovaries, so I can’t really plan that, but it would be great.” While he didn’t reveal any further details about the leading lady in his life, its obvious the singer is quite serious about their relationship.

“I lost my cousin. I lost a lot of things. I lost a lot of friends. I came to realize so many good things about people that were always really there, and then so many bad things about people who really weren’t. When you turn 40 and when you cross a decade, God shows you the truth and you just sort of have to take it and run with it, and basically make the right choices, and that’s kind of where I’m at right now,” he said. “I think that’s why the album can come out now.”

He also expressed how excited he is to get down to business. This will be the first tour for Maxwell since 2010. For those who don’t know the “Embrya” singer cancelled his 2011 tour due to damaged vocal chords.

“I looked out for my band and for my crew. I paid everyone out-of-pocket with the great help of Live Nation, who of course I need to pay back, which I think I did like last week,” he said.
