Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart have split.
According to Us Weekly, JLo and Casper “Beau” Smart broke things off a couple of months ago . The two had been dating for 2.5 years but things weren’t going so great. With both entertainers (he’s a dancer) trying to focus on their on careers, the distance and the stress of being apart reportedly did them in.
An insider explains:
“It has actually been an amicable process that started a few months ago. It wasn’t an easy decision, but they decided to stay friends…Their relationship couldn’t work with the distance. He started trying to establish his own life and career, and she is so focused on hers, and they just couldn’t be all about each other anymore.”
Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart have been in the news quite a bit lately. There have been some pretty serious rumors about Smart having some fun with a couple of transgendered women, and while the claims were previously denied, some are wondering if there was any truth to them now that Smart’s split from JLo has been confirmed. As previously reported by The Inquisitr, not one but two women came forward claiming that Smart was contacting them, asking for racy photos.
According to Radar Online , Jennifer and Beau were done months before the transsexual scandal — which kind of isn’t even a scandal anymore since Casper is technically single. Apparently he and Lopez have known that their relationship was over for a while — things sort of just fizzled. Over the past couple of month, Smart was moving his belongings out of Lopez’s house. The ride, it seems, is over.
A source said:
“She’s having a hard time ignoring the fact that her head has been telling her for a while and now her heart’s saying the same thing.”
Now that Jennifer Lopez, 44, and Casper Smart, 27, are through, they will both move on with their own lives. JLo is gearing up for a huge tour and Beau is working as a choreographer. It’s unknown if he has or will be choreographing any of JLo’s upcoming tour numbers, but probably not. It sounds like these two, while amicable, needed to make a clean break from one another.
Most people knew that this romance wasn’t going to last forever. While it was great to see Lopez happy after her divorce from Marc Anthony, Beau just wasn’t the marrying kind. He was fun for the time being, but that spark is long gone.
And so it begins. Who will Jennifer Lopez date next?
