BatKid Returns To San Francisco, Throws Giants’ First Pitch On Opening Day

Batkid returned to patrol the streets of San Francisco on Tuesday afternoon, and he even swung by AT&T Park where he threw out the first pitch for the San Francisco Giants’ opening home game.

Batkid is the alter-ego of Miles Scott, the 5-year-old kindergartener who is currently in remission after battling leukaemia.

In November, the west-coast metropolis turned into Gotham City for the day as Batkid traveled across town saving locals from dastardly fiends, all thanks to the heroic actions of the Make-A-Wish foundation and the inhabitants of San Francisco, who came out in their thousands to assist the effort.

However, Scott’s appearance at AT&T Park might have just eclipsed his previous effort as the Giants went all out to impress visitors to the stadium. They even got Scott and Batman to drive a very special automobile into the park.

You can check out various clips , images, vines and Tweets from Batkid’s MLB opening-day antics below:

If your heart isn’t breaking right now then you don’t deserve one.

Once BatKid arrived onto the field in a black Lamborghini decorated with Batman’s insignia, he was greeted by Giants star, Matt Cain, who then walked him to the mound in preparation for his throw. Cain then caught BatKid’s first pitch, before stopping for pictures with the teeny-tiny superhero.

Back in November , Scott’s BatKid day saw him save a damsel in distress who had been tied up across the cable car lines, before he then caught the Riddler as he attempted to rob a bank. BatKid then also saved the San Francisco Giants mascot, Lou Seal, from the Penguin, and it culminated with the Mayor presenting Miles with a key to the city as a large crowd of volunteers cheered him on.

The San Francisco Giants are taking on the Arizona Diamondbacks during their home opener to the 2014 Major League Baseball season.
