Obsidian Entertainment’s action RPG Dungeon Siege III has been generally well-received so far, but there was an issue on the PC version that threw a wrench in some gamers’ fun. To be specific, fans weren’t exactly pleased with the mouse-and-keyboard controls, opting instead to plug in a gamepad to control their hacking and slashing. According to Obsidian, however, a fix is on the way.

In a recent interview with Eurogamer , Obsidian lead designer Nathaniel Chapman admitted that he wished the team was able to spend more time on the controls. Aware of the problem, the developer promised a fix was in the works which should address concerns.

“Basically, I think as long as PC gamers have a good way to control the combat they will enjoy it. One review – I can’t remember which – said if you play with a game pad the combat is great, so right now we’re working on improving the PC controls through an update.”

There’s no word on just when the update is expected to release just yet, but at least we know it’s being done. It’s the thought that counts!
