Yesterday, a retail listing casually popped up on GameStop’s website for “Call of Duty: Black Ops Limited Edition with DLC”. Today, Activision has confirmed the “Limited Edition” — and it’s coming this month for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Launching at all retailers June 28, the Call of Duty: Black Ops Limited Edition will come bundled with the very first Call of Duty: Black Ops map pack, First Strike. Activision confirmed that the Limited Edition will set you back $59.99
Earlier this month, Activision revealed Call of Duty: Black Ops ‘ third map pack , Annihilation. The new map pack is set to include four all-new competitive maps and one new zombie mode map, Shangri-La. Treyarch will be kicking it all off with a Double XP weekend starting on July 1.
I can’t imagine anyone who would want to play Black Ops hasn’t bought it already, but if there is such a consumer, the Call of Duty: Black Ops Limited Edition sounds to me like a pretty good starting point.
