Kirstie Alley is no Wesley Snipes, the Fat Actress actress would like everyone to know.
The 60-year-old actress has an unpaid, $41,000 property tax bill- but says the oversight was down to an administrative error:
Pinellas County tax records show Alley owes $41,395 including fees and interest on a Clearwater Harbour mansion she bought for $1.73 million in 2008. The Cheers star, who finished runner-up on the reality dancing show, released a statement through her spokesman on Thursday, saying, “we were not aware of the amount owed, and her accountant never received the bill”.
While Alley was cutting a rug on Dancing With the Stars , the home could have gone into foreclosure over the unpaid bill. (The $1.73 million mansion was previously owned by Elvis’ daughter Lisa Marie Presley.)
Local tax office spokesman Chad McLeod told press that a representative for Alley made contact June 9th, and promised a certified check to bring the actress back up to date on her taxes.
