Everyone may be going goo goo for Gaga but it’s pop superstar Katy Perry who is setting all types of records these days. The California Gurls singer recently set a Billboard record, according to the chart monitoring company Perry’s California Gurl record has spent the last 12 months in the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100, a first for any artist.
The album was helped along by chart climbing hits that include: California Gurls, Teenage Dream, Firework and ET. The first hit California Gurls spent 18 weeks by itself in the Top 10.
Perry is also the only artist to date to have six songs sell more than three million copies each.
