Star Wars and Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen are two timeless classics. Now we can enjoy them both in the same video called “Bohemian Rhapsody: Star Wars Edition.” Really.

Someone has finally come up with a parody combining the two immortal pieces and it actually works. A geek’s dream come true.

For those who are too young to know, “Bohemian Rhapsody” is a 1975 classic song from the British band Queen that has appeared in countless movies.

“Bohemian Rhapsody” even appeared in the Wayne’s World car scene after Mike Myers insisted the song should be included.

But mixing Star Wars with “Bohemian Rhapsody” in a parody is sure to give the song a new wave of popularity (as if it needs any), just like Wayne’s World did in the nineties.

The video was produced by students from the University of Advancing Technology in Tempe, Arizona, who spent months coming up with lyrics that would work with both the Star Wars theme and “Bohemian Rhapsody.”

As we get ready for a new installment in the interstellar saga of long, long ago, this video makes perfect sense since it combines one of the 20th century’s most famous songs with one of the most popular movies ever made.

Anyone who is anxiously awaiting J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: Episode VII should now be giddy with anticipation.

So how is the Twitter-verse reacting? Well, most seem to love it.

And the guys and gals who created the “Bohemian Rhapsody: Star Wars Edition’ have even impressed one of the original Queen band members. Guitarist Brian May says on his website: “This is great.”

“Bohemian Rhapsody: Star Wars Edition” has lyrics by Stephen Panagiotis, Jamall Richards, and Paul DeNigris. All the vocals for the “Bohemian Rhapsody: Star Wars Edition” are by Adam Newton, who may end up with a recording contract after this number.
