What do you get when you mix Hanukkah with Thanksgiving? That’s right, a healthy dose of Thanksgivukkah ! While the initial thought of having two holidays on one day may be a little exciting, it’s also a little daunting.

ABC News reported that this rare holiday can get very stressful because you aren’t only shopping for Thanksgiving dinner, but also for Hanukkah. “It’s difficult to shop for both only because you need so much for both holidays,” said Jessica Bernheim.

The Inquisitr recently reported on Thanksgivukkah , saying that the last time this rare holiday took place was in 1888 and, according to ABC News , this rare event wont happen again for another 80,000 years. This special holiday has many people not only stressed out, but very excited as well. The Inquisitr quoted Rabbi David Paskin, who wrote “ The Ballad Of Thanksgivukkah ,” saying the following:

“It’s pretty amazing to me that in this country we can have rich secular and rich religious celebrations, and that those of us who live in both worlds can find moments when they meet and can really celebrate that convergence. There are a lot of places in the world where we would not be able to do that.”

And if it wasn’t crazy enough that Hanukkah and Thanksgiving have come together this year, there is the added craziness of pre-Black Friday. According to USA Today , this is also the very first holiday season when Thanksgiving Day has become the new Black Friday with many stores now allowing shoppers to start their shopping a day earlier.

Those who will be celebrating both Hanukkah and Thanksgiving will have quite a lot on their plates come Thursday morning. And for those who will also be partaking in the pre-Black Friday shopping events, all I can say is more power to you! For many, there is going to be a lot in store come Thursday, but Thanksgivukkah is sure to be a day many wont soon forget.
