David Beckham and his wife Victoria donated clothes for victims of Typhoon Haiyan which slammed into the Philippines.

Crowds of shoppers lined up for hours too get a chance to buy one of the items donated by the power couple.

David and Victoria Beckham donated clothes and shoes to help raise funds for victims of the Typhoon that has killed over 5,200 people in the Philippines.

The couple donated 20 boxes full of their second hand items to the British Red Cross in London.

The pieces included dozens of designer outfits and shoes which sold at a fraction of their original price, some for as little as $160.

However, each customer was limited to one item.

“The clothes were priced very reasonably,” said Red Cross spokeswoman Laura Hinks.

“David and Victoria wanted everyone to have an opportunity to buy something.”

To attract customers (as if they needed anymore incentive) the window displayed a black suit and white shirt which had belonged to David Beckham.

Victoria Beckham took to Twitter to promote the drive which included five shelves stacked with her shoes and a rail of David Beckham’s sweaters on sale for about $60 each.

Some of the treats available at a discount were a pair of Victoria’s cow print boots and denim and snakeskin cowboy boots, with her name printed out in gemstones.

There was also a red short skirt featuring the names of the couple’s sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz.

Customers that came to shop for David Beckham and former Spice Girl Posh’s clothes got rewarded with very high end items at a fraction of the original cost.

Some of the lucky ones that were able to get their hands on the pieces, and could actually wear them, displayed them proudly for all to see.

Hinks says David and Victoria Beckham were hoping other celebrities would follow suit. In a previous campaign to fight cancer in 2010, they raised $13,000.
