Yesterday we reported that Lindsay Lohan was in the running to play Victoria Gotti in the upcoming movie Gotti: Three Generations and now we have learned that it was Victoria herself who has been championing the role for Lohan.
According to TMZ, with the help of Gotti, Lindsay was able to beat out Blake Lively and Sienna Miller for the role.
Apparently Lohan wasn’t even on the producers radar until the Gotti daughter said she would play her perfectly. The move could be a smart one as it is already creating buzz, plus the Lohan family are close friends of the Gotti’s so Lindsay will more than likely have an intimate knowledge of what it takes to play Victoria.
Lohan is already in L.A. auditioning for a role in the upcoming Superman movie, however she is headed back to New York City on April 12 to close the Gotti deal.
