Dixon, Illinois’ Christian Science Church has one huge design flaw that you can only spot from up in the sky. Yes, you guessed it, when viewed from the heavens it looks like a giant penis with two testicles.

Google Earth made the unlikely, but extremely amusing, discovery while traveling across the state, and the phallic shaped building has now been doing the rounds on various social network sites, much to the amusement of those who have laid their eyes on it.

Dixon’s Christian Science Church was founded in 1903, and it teaches its congregation about both Jesus Christ and the writings of Mary Baker Eddy, who founded the Christian Science movement.

Reddit user, Trollmobile, uploaded the image to the hugely popular sharing website, which lead a number of users to comment on the fact that it looked like a huge penis.

Users comments included, “This is the shape of a new church just built in my hometown. Awesome.” Another noted, “Whoever designed that really c***ed it up.”

The church’s official Facebook page was soon inundated with messages that brought the news to the attention of those who work for Dixon’s Christian Science Church.

But rather than being ashamed, perplexed, or embarrassed by their building’s resemblance to the male appendage they uploaded a rather witty and humorous response, which simply explained, “Giant fig leaf coming soon.”

This remark sparked an appreciative response from various Facebook users, who noted the humorous retort, such as Andrew L’Amour who remarked, “Well played Christian Science Dixon, well played.

While others still found room to make more jokes at the building’s expense, with Chris Allen writing, “I can’t wait to see it when the building is fully erected.”

Google Earth has made numerous great discoveries since it was unleashed onto the world wide web. Some explorers even speculated that they had found the lost continent of Atlantis just off the coast of Africa, which instead turned out to be a digital grid pattern that was created by sonar boats.

The image above depicts a Firefox inspired crop circle that was created to celebrate the browser’s 50 millionth download, and was discovered in Oregon, which measured in at over 45,000 sq. ft large. While a farmer from Arizona also moulded Oprah Winfrey’s face into his corn maze back in 2004 too, which was soon picked up on by Google Earth. You can check out a picture of Winfrey’s face in the maze below.
