Prince George’s Christening is taking place in just a few hours and everything seems to be in order including an official photographer chosen by the proud parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

The Clarence House official Twitter announced that Jason Bell will be doing the honors capturing the historic moment on Wednesday when the future King is welcomed into the Anglican Church.

A statement on the website princeofwales.gov.uk, which updates news about Prince Charles, his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince Harry reads:

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have asked Jason Bell to be the official photographer at the christening of their son, Prince George. Mr. Bell will take the official photographs at Clarence House following the service in the Chapel Royal.

Jason Bell is an English photographer who was first given a camera at 5 years of age and as a professional has captured the likes of many celebrities including Scarlett Johansson, Johnny Depp, David Beckham, and more for Vogue and Vanity Fair magazines.

The new honor of being chosen as the official photographer of Prince George’s christening will add even more prestige to his name, as anything that has to do with Kate Middleton and her husband Prince William.

The statement adds:

Many of Jason’s photos have been acquired for the National Portrait Gallery for their permanent collection.

He has received a number of awards, including The Royal Photographic Society’s Terence Donovan Award for outstanding contribution to photography and the Best British Black and White Photographer at the British Picture Editor’s Awards.

He was made an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society in September 2011.

Prince George , who turned three months today, will be Christened on Wednesday at St. James Palace with the Archbishop of Canterbury officiating. Photographs of the event will be available on Thursday, October 24.
