Only one NFL team a year can win their final game, this year your Super Bowl Champions are the Green Bay Packers. They won their fourth Super Bowl in five tries, and further proved General Manger Ted Thompson made the right call a few years ago by dumping Brett Favre and turning this team over to Aaron Rodgers. They did not win their division, but racked up a 10-6 record. Three of their six loses were to lesser opponents, so this team struggle a bit, and were bitten by the injury bug big time.

The offense scored 388 points or 24.2 points per game on average. Aaron Rodgers saw the most playing time at the QB position but suffered at least one concussion and backup Matt Flynn had to see action in seven games. Rodgers completed 65.7% of his passes for 3,922 yards, with 28 TD’s and 11 INT’s. The running game behind him averaged 100.4 rushing yards per game, and the Offensive Line gave up 38 sacks.

The defense gave up the second fewest points at 240 or 15 points per game on average. We should point out that the teams that gave up the fewest amount of points both made the Super Bowl proving that in the NFL defense wins championships. In every key team defensive stat category they were in the top ten. Their take away differential was +10 and they forced 14 fumbles and picked off 24 passes. They also racked up 47 sacks.

Hail to the champs is all I can think of to say. At times this team looked a little shaky, but they played big when they had too, and that points to an excellent job by the coaching staff. Every NFL team has needs, but the needs of the Packers are minimal as they were able to climb to the top of the NFL mountain this year.
