Is Donald Trump about to get fired? An online petition asking Macy’s to dump The Donald and all of his products has gained steam this week . So far, nearly 500,000 people have signed the petition.
The petition reads :
“Macy’s: Donald Trump does not reflect the ‘magic of Macy’s.’ We urge you to sever ties with him. Macy’s says it has a strong obligation to be “socially responsible” and that “actions speak louder than words.” Indeed. It’s time to act.”
The petition was started after Trump went on a Twitter rant after the election. According to Angelo Carusone, the person who started the petition, Trump has continuously misled the American people with his birther conspiracies and political commentary. He’s also exhibited “sexist behavior” and has tried to convince the American people that climate change is a myth.
Carusone believes that Macy’s should dump Trump and so far, 481,047 people agree with him.
But Trump doesn’t seem too worried about the petition. The real estate mogul has sent out a few messages on Twitter recently bragging about his success at Macy’s.

If Trump’s items are really “flying off the shelf” then Macy’s probably won’t be giving him the ax any time soon. If people really want to get rid of Trump, they should probably stop buying his products.
