President Obama has weighed in on several important topics over the last few months during radio interviews. He talked about Nicki Minaj’s reported endorsement of Mitt Romney, the feud on American Idol, and now he’s giving parenting advice to Jay-Z.
Obama, who is currently preparing for the final presidential debate before the 2012 election, recently did an interview with Cleveland’s z108.9 and answered questions about his relationship with the Jay-Z and Beyonce.
Jay-Z and Beyonce recently became new parents and the President said that he’s making sure that Hova helps out around the house.
Obama said : “I made sure that Jay-Z was helping Beyonce out [with the baby]. And not leaving it all with mom and the mother-in-law.”
Obama said that he’s met Jay-Z and Beyonce several times since he took office and considers them friends of the family. The celebrity couple recently hosted a fundraiser for Obama and Jay-Z appeared in an ad for the president.
Obama said:
“I’ve gotten to know these guys over the first several years. They’re good people. They’re down to earth. Beyonce could not be sweeter to Michelle and the girls. So they’re good friends. They really are down-to-earth folks. We talk about the same things I talk about with all my friends.”
In addition to being friends with Jay-Z and Beyonce, the president also said that he’s a fan of their music. Obama said that he particularly likes Jay-Z’s “My First Song.”
