The pop culture-fest that is Comic-Con is nearly upon us. The fantasy festivities kick off in San Diego from July 12-15.
Today, MTV announced Summit Entertainment has confirmed that the big guns from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 will represent at Comic-Con 2012.
Earlier this month , Summit announced that the climactic installment of the series would have a presence at this year’s Comic-Con – and today more details emerged about who, where and when.
So here’s the roll call:
Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen), Kristen Stewart (Bella Cullen), new cast member Mackenzie Foy (Renesmee Cullen), Taylor Lautner (Jacob Black), Peter Facinelli (Carlisle Cullen), Nikki Reed (Rosalie), Ashley Greene (Alice Cullen), Jackson Rathbone (Jasper Hale) and Kellan Lutz (Emmett Cullen) – will appear at a press conference when Comic-Con kicks off.
To quote MTV,
“Consider it official, then: Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are coming to Comic-Con! Summit Entertainment announced today (July 3) that the on-screen Edward and Bella will be at the San Diego show for a “ Breaking Dawn ” press conference held at the Hilton Bayfront Hotel from 11:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on Thursday (July 12). Start lining up now, “ Twilight ” fans!”
“Joining Pattinson and Stewart are plenty of your other favorite “ Twilight ” stars, including Taylor Lautner, Peter Facinelli, Nikki Reed, Jackson Rathbone, Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz. Also along for the ride is newcomer Mackenzie Foy, starring in “ Breaking Dawn ” as young half-vampire Renesmee.”
Since The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 panel at Comic-Con 2012 is scheduled to raise the roof of Hall “H” on July 12, it’s not that much of a stretch to say it’s fairly certain that the actors now confirmed for the press conference will also be on the panel.
Also highly anticipated is the promised Breaking Dawn Part – 2 sneak peek that will be shown at Comic-Con, but today’s announcement by MTV and Summit will certainly be the cherry on the cake for Twilight Saga fans attending CC this year.
Past Comic-Con appearances by Pattinson and Stewart have traditionally been riotous affairs, and fans trekking down to San Diego for what is effectively The Twilight Saga’s final hurrah will undoubtedly be hoping they saved the best for last.
