Actress Carrie Fisher presented the 2015 Screen Actors Guild Lifetime Achievement Award to her mother, fellow actress and entertainer Debbie Reynolds, Sunday night.

Fisher, known for her sharp humored writing skills as well as her acting, took the opportunity to amuse the crowd with a couple of jabs at Reynolds as well as her self.

According to CNN , Fisher listed many of her mother’s career achievements including movie star, recording artist, and philanthropist.

In discussing The Thalians, a charitable organization co-founded by Reynolds that is dedicated to helping children and adults with mental health issues, Fisher followed up with the line “Four-and-a-half million (dollars) is allocated just for me.”

Carrie Fisher, who has long struggled with her highly publicized battle with addiction, bipolar disorder, and the occasionally strained mother/daughter relationship, turned the event into what AOL described as more of a roast than the usual fluffy feel good ego stroking the Lifetime Achievement Award renders.

At one point Fisher stated, “She’s been more than a mother to me, not much, but definitely more,” in jest.

Fisher’s Postcards From the Edge , a semi-autobiographical novel, touched on the complexities of the relationship between the two women. It was later made into a film starring Meryl Streep.

Reynolds took the ribbing in good humor but the crowd, at times, was left wondering how to react to the banter.

Fisher highlighted her 82-year-old mother’s illustrious career by narrating a short film dedicated to some of the actress’ most famous performances, including The Unsinkable Molly Brown , which earned Reynolds an Oscar nomination, and Singing in the Rain, among others. Reynolds’ most recent role was starring opposite Michael Douglas in the movie Behind the Candelabra as Liberace’s mother.

During her acceptance speech, Reynolds was able to get in her own jab at her daughter, describing when Fisher was first cast as Princess Leia in Star Wars . Reynolds stated she warned Carrie to “Be careful of any weird hairdos.”

Fisher’s Star Wars hairdo became almost as iconic as the film itself, sporting two buns, one on each side of her head.

Carrie Fisher is the daughter of Debbie Reynolds and singer Eddie Fisher. She rose to stardom with the popularity of the Star Wars franchise. She is also an accomplished author and screenwriter, often being referred to as a “script doctor” who helps fellow writers polish up their scripts.

Fisher will reprise her role as Princess Leia in the highly anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens this December .
