With Britney Spears and Jason Trawick officially announcing their engagement it was only a matter of time before the pop star’s ex-husband Kevin Federline chimed in.
According to Federline, 33, his ex-wife (they divorced in 2006) is in a “good place” and he adds “She’s Happy.”
Kevin goes on to tell Australia’s TV Week magazine:
“She’s doing really well… [The engagement] is a good step in the right direction. I’m totally happy for her.”
Federline continued his compliments by noting that under her care both Preston, 6, and Jayden, 5, are doing well in school and that her new fiancé is a welcomed addition for the family.
“I think he’s a great guy,” Federline says. “The kids speak highly of him. Her family loves him.”
In a surprising admission he also told People that his heart was “torn to pieces” by his ex-wife’s public meltdown and continuing struggle that lasted very publicly for several years before her father Jamie Spears took control of her estate and Jason Trawick stepped in to help get her life back on schedule.
With her finances in order and being closely monitored, along with a comeback steadily moving forward Spears appears to be getting back to her pre-meltdown level of fame, throw in what appears to be a solid relationship with her ex-husband and it looks like the days of crazy Britney may be over for a while.
