Teresa Giudice has some tough decisions to make this Christmas, as she looks toward a 15-month prison sentence due to start in January, having been found guilty of bankruptcy fraud along with her husband Joe.
One of the decisions the Real Housewives of New Jersey star has to make is what to do about her four daughters who, for the most part, she doesn’t want to leave under the sole care of husband Joe while she’s incarcerated.
It’s not that Joe Giudice doesn’t love his daughters, as he surely does very much, but rather the fact that looking after them full-time, alone, while trying to sort out the mess that fraudulent activity has landed his family in may be too much to handle.
With all the love in the world though, looking after the girls, Gia, 13, Gabriella, 10, Milania, 8, and 5-year-old Audriana, is a daunting task for anyone, let alone a single father who himself will go to jail once Teresa is released.
Radar Online reported that a source said, “She knows Joe doesn’t want to take care of them, and she doesn’t think he’s capable. Theresa has become so desperate, she’s now considering giving her kids to friends!”
Wendy Feldman, Teresa Giudice’s former crisis manager, who she fell out with recently, even told reporters that Teresa is more or less the “sole caregiver” of her daughters as Joe is often absent in that regard.
A Giudice family insider told Radar recently that the oldest daughter, Gia, already has plans to move out while her mom serves jail time, Gia “wants to live with one of her friends from her girl group 3KT while her mom is away in prison,” claimed the insider.
The same Radar source continued,
“She knows her family needs her, but she also realizes that she needs a mother figure while her mom is locked away. She’s at the age where she really needs a mother in her life to help her through the changes of going from a girl into a young woman, and it’s not like she’ll be able to pick up a phone and dial her mom at a moment’s notice.”
