Beyonce fans who have been awaiting the singer’s new album may not be waiting too long. After Beyonce’s song “ God Made You Beautiful ” leaked just before Thanksgiving, the internet went crazy at the possibility of an album not being too far off for Bey.
While the singer is currently busy doing her vegan diet with her husband Jay Z, it appears that she’s also been thinking about what her album may sound like. Of course, this has been said over and over again throughout the past year or so, and we have even seen footage of Beyonce recording during her documentary Life Is But a Dream .
So what’s changed? Well, now we’re hearing from the head of Columbia Records about what’s to come for Beyonce’s new music. This is definitely a change from hearing rumors about new music.
The chairman of Columbia Records has said, “Obviously, at some point, Beyoncé will put a record out.” This was in response to his slate for 2014. Although that response isn’t as enthusiastic as we had hoped, at least it’s proof that Beyonce is definitely thinking about her music.
Someone who was at least talking about Beyonce’s new album is 2013’s musical sidekick Pharrell Williams, who reemerged as the perfect producer/ vocalist for top 40 pop charting singles. So far, Williams has had the most to say about Beyonce’s new music. Back in October , the N.E.R.D. producer said:
“B’s album is crazy. Let me tell you what it is. She’s very particular. She’s a Virgo. And she’s not going to put it out until it’s ready and feels like it’s right to her. She’s got a very specific taste. I guess that’s the reason she’s Beyonce.”
Williams is convinced that no matter when Beyonce’s new album comes out, it will certainly be worth the wait:
“[Other people are hearing her album] and are like ‘Whoa!’ And she’s like, ‘yeah, I’m almost done. She’s the queen.”
