Prince Harry may have finally decided it was time to settle down and start a family of his own after watching his older brother’s family grow, and now rumors are swirling that he’s picked his ex, Cressida Bonas, as his partner for life.
OK! Magazine reports 30-year-old Prince Harry asked Cressida Bonas to marry him after getting back together three months ago. An undisclosed source revealed why no outsiders knew about the romance between the old flames.
“They rekindled their relationship in March. They were determined to keep it to themselves for as long as possible, so they could have a bit of privacy while they were getting used to each other again.”
If the report is true, then People may have been on to something when it reported how Prince Harry was being extra supportive of his 26-year-old ex when she performed in two separate plays , The Importance of Being Earnest and An Evening With Lucian Freud . He showed up at both plays, one in March and the other in the beginning of June, to support and watch Bonas.
The undisclosed source claims even Queen Elizabeth has approved of the engagement between Harry and Cressida, even though the head of the royal family doesn’t particularly care for Cressida’s career.
“The queen is not thrilled about Cressida’s career, because princesses have royal duties to attend to that should be priority. She gave her blessing to the engagement because she wants Harry to settle down and have a family.”
Prince Harry was recently spotted flirting with actress Jenna Coleman, but perhaps it was innocent after all, if the rumors of engagement are to be believed.
Prince Harry has likely had family on his mind, especially with the arrival of his new niece. While he remained busy and physically away from his family, Bonas kept in touch with the family and remained close to them, according to the source.
“Their time apart really brought home to him how perfect she is for him,” the source said. “It took him a while to understand it, but he knows now that Cressida is the only one for him.”
If Prince Harry truly is engaged, the public should expect to hear of the exciting news sometime soon. It is likely the palace will make an official announcement, and the hearts of hopeful women around the world will be dashed to pieces when their Prince is no longer an eligible bachelor.
