Shannen Doherty, of Beverly Hills 90210, Charmed, and Heathers fame has filed a lawsuit against her former management company because she believes they are responsible for her recent diagnoses of breast cancer.
Doherty is alleging that she now has invasive breast cancer, and it spread during a period where she had no health insurance, because her management company had not paid the bill. According to SAG, Shannen Doherty had no health insurance for the entirety of 2014.

According to TMZ , Shannen Doherty is holding her management, Tanner, Maintain, Glynn & Johnson responsible for the advanced stage of her breast cancer. The management takes 5 percent of her earnings as payment for managing all of her financial affairs. Doherty says that the firm ignored an invoice from SAG for her health insurance, and so the policy was cancelled, leaving Doherty without health insurance, and unable to enroll for a new policy until this current calendar year.
On a trip to the doctor in March, Doherty was diagnosed with invasive breast cancer which had metastasized to at least one lymph node. She is now facing a mastectomy and chemotherapy, and wants to hold the management company, who she has now fired, responsible. Doctors have told Doherty that the cancer spread during 2014 while she was uninsured.

Perez Hilton claims that Doherty’s lawyer claims in his filings that her prognosis would have been much better had the cancer been found during 2014, and now she is facing an uphill battle because of the errors of the management company.
“In truth, the firm and former partner [Steven] Blatt specialize in fleecing actors and entertainment industry professionals. After gaining control of all of their clients’ cash and assets, they find a way to lose it, sometimes by gross incompetence, sometimes by self-dealing and outright theft. Along the way, they habitually deceive their clients, going so far as to set up bogus transactions, to conceal their misdeeds, errors and omissions. The firm has hallmarks of a Ponzi scheme.”

Now, at the age of 44, Shannen Doherty is facing extensive treatment that could have been avoided with early detection.
