Melissa Joan Hart has lost 40 pounds since giving birth to her son Tucker, and the 37-year-old actress is showing off her newly trimmed figure.
The Melissa & Joey star said she feels “pretty amazing” with her fit body, and even posed in a bikini during a trip to Entertainment Tonight .
“I felt prepared. I was confident,” she told Entertainment Tonight . “I don’t wear bikinis even when I go to the beach, so when I put it on in front of the cameras and all these people, and my husband showed up — it’s nerve-wracking but the feeling is very satisfying.”
Melissa Joan Hart said she gained 60 pounds while she was pregnant with son Tucker, who was born in 2012. But she didn’t rush dropping the baby weight, saying she was more focused on spending time with her family, including 8-year-old Mason and 5-year-old Braydon.
“For me, it was important to bond with my child, as opposed to ‘lose the weight.’ So I waited until I was ready, and I knew I had the time, and then I made it a priority that I would eat well,” she said.
This marks quite a change for Melissa Joan Hart, who recently has been sharing details of her wild past . In a book released last year, the actress shared about her wild Hollywood days, including a party at the Playboy mansion where she used ecstasy and made out with a girl in a limo.
“And so the next morning I rolled up to the Maxim photo shoot and I was pretty hungover and coming down,” she said. “And here I was, having a full day of… hair extensions and bikinis, and I was not prepared for it — so that was probably the least professional I’ve ever been in my career.”
But those days are long gone, and Melissa Joan Hart is focused on family and her new figure.
