Natalie Portman has some very exciting movie projects in the pipeline.
The Black Swan star was recently cast alongside an up-and-coming actress who she bears a striking resemblance to, Johnny Depp’s 15-year-old daughter Lily-Rose. As you can see, Lily-Rose Depp looks a lot like The Professional -era Natalie Portman.

Fittingly, the actresses are going to play sisters in Planetarium , a drama set in the 1930s. Their characters are spiritualists who claim that they have the ability to talk to ghosts, and it sounds like most of the movie will take place in Paris.
“They cross paths with a visionary French producer while performing in Paris,” Variety writes.
Because Lily-Rose Depp and Natalie Portman are playing characters described as performers, it’s possible that they’ll make their living by conducting seances, but there’s no word on whether the sisters will actually be capable of communicating with the dead.
According to Cinemablend , the French producer character is based on Bernard Natan , a film industry bigwig who was possibly involved in producing early pornographic movies. Perhaps he’ll ask the spiritualist sisters to contact a deceased loved one, or maybe he’ll try to capture a ghost on film. Natan met his own haunting end during World War II — he died in died in Auschwitz.
Rebecca Zlotowski ( Grand Central ) is directing Planetarium , so Lily-Rose Depp is making a smart career move by surrounding herself with positive female influences. Lily-Rose made her movie debut last year when she starred alongside Johnny Depp in Kevin Smith’s Tusk .
Interestingly, Natalie Portman has never worked on a movie with Lily-Rose’s famous father. However, she did star alongside Johnny in Paul McCartney’s “My Valentine” music video.
Planetarium isn’t Natalie’s only upcoming movie that’s based on the life of a real person. As the Inquisitr previously reported, she’s been cast as Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg (a.k.a. “ The Notorious RBG “) in a biopic about the feminist icon. And according to Variety , she’ll play another big political figure in a second biographical film — she’s set to star as Jackie Kennedy in Jackie , a film that focuses on the former First Lady’s life after the John F. Kennedy assassination. Pablo Larrain ( The Club ) is directing the film, and it will be produced by Black Swan director Darren Aronofsky.
Natalie Portman recently stated that she has no idea where her Black Swan Oscar is, and she called it a “false idol.” However, she sure is signing on for a lot of films that feel like Oscar bait.
