Keyshia Cole’s recent Twitter comments about Beyonce have landed her on one rapper’s blacklist.

The Dream, who was rumored to be collaborating with Cole on her upcoming album, is now refusing to work with the R&B singer because of the disparaging comments she made about Beyonce’s new single “Bow Down.” After the single was released, Cole went on to Twitter to blast Beyonce for hypocrisy.

“First ‘Women need to Stick together’ now b*****s better Bow. Smh. But it’s all G! Chicks stay shooting the s**t. But when I speak my mind its a prob,” Cole wrote. However, the first part of her sentence was directed at the wrong person. It was actually former Destiny’s Child member Michelle Williams who said women needed to stick together in response to comments Cole made about her Super Bowl performance.

Destiny’s Child fans leapt to Williams’ defense, and the Beyhive — what Beyonce’s fans call themselves — responded in a similar fashion when Cole criticized the new single. Now The Dream has stepped up to defend the superstar , for whom he co-wrote “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It).” He went on New York City’s Power 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club” Wednesday morning to offer his thoughts about the one-sided feud between Keyshia Cole and Beyonce.

“I’ve already done records with Keyshia but right now because of what happened I can’t. I think she’ll have to respect why I can’t. That’s my family…you talking about my family you can’t do that,” the rapper, whose real name is Terius Nash, said. “I think she said exactly what she wanted to say. When you’re at the top and you’re the pop icon of this culture…she got something off her chest she wanted to.”

Cole immediately responded to The Dream’s comments on Twitter, writing, “Dream not writing any songs for me is fine… Im on my 6th album… He’s only wrote 1 song on 1 of my albums, which i did love, God Bless.”

What do you think of The Dream’s response to Keyshia Cole? Did he even need to comment on the situation?
