Tamar Braxton confirmed that she had filed for divorce from Vince Herbert, her husband of almost nine years, earlier this week, and now shocking video of the moment Braxton seemingly decided enough was enough from their marriage has been released.
The drama between Braxton and Herbert prior to the announcement of their split is made very clear in the brand new trailer for Season 5 of the couple’s WEtv reality show, Tamar & Vince , as the singer shockingly removes her wedding ring after tearfully confessing that she no longer wants to live the way she’s been living.
The new super tease for the show, set to premiere in November, shows that the couple had major drama before making the announcement this week as Tamar can also be seen firing Vince as her manager.
The couple appears to be doing a whole lot of arguing in the teaser as Braxton tells her soon-to-be former husband that she wants to manage herself from now on while the star’s friend, Tiny Harris, tells her that she needs to get a new manager before she ends up getting a new husband.
Vince then claims in a piece to camera that his wife of almost nine years, and mother of his 4-year-old son, Logan Herbert, seems to be having a “midlife crisis.”
Braxton and Herbert then have a candid heart-to-heart in the trailer, in which Tamar tells Vince, “I don’t want to end up like my parents.” She can be seen taking off her wedding ring and placing it on the kitchen counter.
“I’m not willing to live like how I’ve been living,” Tamar then admits after removing her wedding ring, which seemingly showed the moment the “My Man” singer decided it was time to end her marriage to the music manager after almost nine years.
The reality show trailer dropped amid a whole lot of drama for the singer and reality star after she confirmed on October 25 via her rep that she had officially filed for divorce just one month before what would be their ninth wedding anniversary.
“At this time we can confirm Ms. Braxton has made an extremely difficult decision and has filed for divorce from Vincent Herbert,” Tamar’s rep said in a statement obtained by People .
“Collectively, their son Logan and his well-being during this extremely unfortunate process is most important,” the statement continued. “We ask that everyone respects her privacy during this incredibly difficult time. She appreciates everyone’s love and prayers.”
The confirmation came after months of reports of drama between the couple, including various allegations of domestic disputes between the two which are alleged to have turned violent. Both have denied the reports of domestic abuse.
Tamar has stayed pretty silent on social media ever since her divorce filing was announced, although her former friends on the daytime talk show, The Real, had plenty to say about their former co-star’s marriage on the show following the news.
The reality star famously feuded with her former co-stars, Loni Love, Tamera Mowry-Housley, Jeannie Mai, and Adrienne Bailon, after she was fired from the show last year. Herbert also served as a producer on the series but left with his wife.
Tamar & Vince Season 5 is set to debut on WEtv on November 9.
