United States President Donald Trump continued his ongoing feud with Iran, taunting the country amid the U.S. and Israeli joint military strikes. Nearly two weeks into the continued attacks, Trump spoke to a crowd in Hebron, Ky., on Wednesday afternoon. At one point, Trump brought up Operation Epic Fury, the official name of the strikes which began in Iran on Feb. 28.
Trump then asked the crowd whether they thought Operation Epic Fury was a good name, and they roared in approval. “Well, it’s only good if you win … and we’ve won,” Trump said. “Let me tell you. We’ve won. You know, you never liked to say too early that you won. We won.”

Trump’s boast about the victory over Iran came hours after he threatened the country during an interaction with reporters. The President claimed that Iran’s navy and air force have suffered significant damage over the last 11 days. He added that Iran now lacks anti-aircraft systems or radar, suggesting these losses would prevent Iran from defending itself against more strikes.
“We could take them out by this afternoon, in fact,” Trump said. “Within an hour, they literally would never be able to build that country back,” he added.
The New York Times previously reported that over 1,800 people have died in Iran and elsewhere, including seven U.S. military members. Many senior Iranian leaders, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, died during the initial strikes. At least another 140 U.S. military members are believed to have been injured.
Neither the United States nor Iran has signaled that a ceasefire is imminent. However, California is on high alert after a leaked FBI memo emerged on Wednesday, with the government informing local law enforcement to prepare for potential Iranian drone strikes.

“We recently acquired information that as of early February 2026, Iran allegedly aspired to conduct a surprise attack using unmanned aerial vehicles from an unidentified vessel off the coast of the United State [sic] Homeland, specifically against unspecified targets in California, in the event that the US conducted strikes against Iran,” the alert read.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom addressed the threat on Wednesday and said that he has not yet spoken with Trump. Newsom added that he wants Trump to speak to the American people directly about the situation.
Fox News’ Matt Finn reported on Wednesday afternoon that LAPD sources told him that there isn’t a “known credible drone threat” to Los Angeles. There has not been a major foreign terrorist attack on United States soil since the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks.
“This may fall under the general ‘death to America’ umbrella,” Finn wrote on X.
