President Donald Trump is in a meltdown situation after an Olympian from Minnesota slammed his ICE officers for the killing of two people from his state.
Alex Pretti and Renee Nicole Good were American citizens who did nothing bad, they stood up for people in their city and state. As noted by the Daily Beast, Olympian sportsman from Minnesota slammed the Trump administration for its immigration crackdown that led to their death.
“I’d like to say I’m proud to be here to represent Team USA, and to represent our country,” curler Rich Ruohonen told reporters at the Winter Games in Milan Tuesday. “But we’d be remiss if we didn’t at least mention what’s going on in Minnesota.”
“What a tough time it’s been for everybody. This stuff is happening right around where we live,” he continued. ”I am a lawyer, as you know. We have a constitution, and it allows us freedom of speech.”
In the past few weeks America has been torn over the killing of two protesters, Alex Pretti and Renee Nicole Good. Ruohonen told reporters that “what’s happening in Minnesota is wrong, adding, “there’s no shades of grey. It’s clear.”
The world was shocked at the two killings as people on the scene shared video footage that clearly pointed to ICE officers being at fault.

Meanwhile, this isn’t the only statement hailing from the Winter Olympics in Milan, Italy. Ruohonen’s statement comes in the wake of similar remarks by the Olympic skier, Hunter Hess, and figure skater, Amber Glenn.
“Just because I wear the flag doesn’t mean I represent everything that’s going on in the US,” Hess said last week. “Politics affects us all. It is something I will not just be quiet about,” he added.

The two similar statements brought on a major meltdown with Donald Trump supporters over the weekend, with, as always, the president himself leading the charge on social media.
“US Olympic Skier, Hunter Hess, a real Loser, says he doesn’t represent his Country in the current Winter Olympics,” Trump posted Sunday. “If that’s the case, he shouldn’t have tried out for the Team, and it’s too bad he’s on it.”
“Very hard to root for someone like this,” Trump wrote. “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
In the meanwhile, Florida GOP Sen. Rick Scott called for those US athletes at the Olympics, critical of the Trump administration to be booted from their teams.
Both stories attracted a slew of comments, with a few supporting the Minnesotan athletes, but many more against. They responded in MAGA form, stating that the Olympians in question not be allowed to participate in the future.
One post on X (formerly Twitter) reads, “This Hess kid on the Olympic ski team. Needs to be revoked and not allowed to participate For USA. Part of earning it is for love of country! #Hessout.”
Another commented, “He is a disgrace to the US Ski team and should be banned from competing. You never go public with your political plots and trash the United States of America. Someone should take him out back and teach him a lesson. He’s not even that good ban this mother*****.
Another X user commented, writing, “Enough. Pull them out now. The Olympics are not meant to be a place for political grandstanding.”
