A former White House employee has deemed Donald Trump unfit as the President. The ex-White House employee has shared their concerns when it comes to Trump being the country’s President. The ex-employee called Trump out for being “deeply impulsive.”
Trump, who has served as the 45th President of the United States and is serving as the 47th right now, was harshly scrutinized. A former employee who decided to write an “anonymous” op-ed back in 2018 tore into the President yet again.
An ex-employee named Miles Taylor was reportedly part of a group called the “resistance,” according to his 2018 op-ed. Taylor recently admitted how he was worried about Trump being fit to serve as the President in 2017. He revealed that there were several other White House employees lying “very, very low” who had the same opinion as he did.
“The man is still the same man, but worse and emboldened,” Taylor claimed while he appeared as a guest on the ‘The Court of History’ podcast. The former employee called Trump out for being “deeply impulsive.” He added, “But impulsive without checks and balances around him.”

Before writing and publishing several books about the President’s behaviour, Taylor admitted to writing an op-ed in 2018. The author revealed how he was behind a 2018 op-ed that was published in The New York Times under the name “Anonymous.”
Taylor notes how people in Trump’s circle are not “trying to talk him out of doing bad things.” He claims that the same people are “demonstrating fealty” at every decision that the President makes. This cycle is causing multiple bad decisions to be made, according to the ex-Homeland Security staffer.
Taylor also noted the presence of several officials who are serving the current administration who think they can keep their “hand on the wheel.” “I would prefer some of those people in the posts I’m thinking about than others who might replace them,” he added.
The former government employee claimed that “people of conscience” have the full awareness that they are an “endangered species” in Trump’s administration.

Taylor Miles has openly criticised the President more than once before. His scrutiny has resulted in him grabbing Trump’s attention in all the wrong ways. The author was investigated by the Department of Justice in April 2025. The President ordered the Department to investigate the former employee for possibly committing “treasonous” acts.
“His conduct could properly be characterized as treasonous and as possibly violating the Espionage Act,” a memo from Trump demanding an investigation read. In response, Taylor took to X to note how America is headed down a “dark path” under Trump’s Presidency.
