North Korea’s tattooed fanboy has returned for a visit. Former NBA star Dennis Rodman has touched down in the communist country for “a good time” with best buddy Kim Jong-Un.
Rodman landed on Tuesday in the capital of Pyongyang, North Korea.
You might recall that in February Rodman attended a Harlem Globetrotters match in the nation and became the first American to meet the country’s new leader.
Following his first meeting, Rodman called Kim Jong-Un a “great man” and later apologize after he learned about the country’s forced labor camps and other atrocities against its citizens.
While flying out of an airport in Beijing, Rodman said he was attempting “to bridge a gap with Americans and North Korea.” Rodman said he planned to have a good time while dining with Mr. Jim on Tuesday or Wednesday.
During his last trip to North Korea, the former baller tried to persuade the country’s leader to free American prisoner Kenneth Bae. The prisoner was sentenced to 15 years of hard labor for alleged political crimes. Mr. Bae frequently traveled to the country for business endeavors and charitable functions.
When asked if he would discuss Mr. Bae, the highly misinformed Rodman said:
“I’m not a diplomat. I’m … there to just have a good time with him and his family. That’s pretty much it.”
Forced work camps, government ordered assassinations of citizens, brainwashing of children and adults — I would like to think Dennis Rodman is better than that. Who am I kidding? It’s Rodman.
So what is it Rodman: Are you not a diplomat or are you really attempting to “bridge a gap”?
