Caroline Wozniacki has denied dumped by Rory McIlroy, after the golfer became incensed that she uploaded a picture of him sleeping to Twitter.
McIlory allegedly decided to end his two year courtship with the tennis starlet because of the image, which featured the 24-year-old asleep with his mouth open.
The Irish Independent added, “Friends say a photograph posted by Caroline on Twitter, which showed her boyfriend in a deep sleep, was one of the final straws for the number one golfer.”
Wozniacki was apparently left stunned by McIlroy’s declaration and the publication added that she wept incessantly after she learned of his decision.
However, Wozniacki told the Danish newspaper, Elkstra Bladet , on Monday, that the rumors of her relationship’s demise have been gravely exaggerated.
She remarked, “I’m so tired of the rumors. They occur every time Rory and I are apart a few days or do not write on Twitter. There is nothing in it, and from now on I just think that I will keep my private life private. It is so annoying that the media and the so-called sources constantly spread the rumors. They write just what they want.”
When she was asked for more details on the current state of their relationship, Wozniacki commented, “All is well, and there’s not much more to say about it. I just want to be allowed to live my life off the court without all the speculation.”
Speculation started to swirl over Wozniacki and McIlroy’s relationship after she posted the following picture to her Twitter account:

Recently, golfing legend, Gary Player stated that McIlroy needed to find a woman who wouldn’t cause the Irishman so many issues off the course.
He remarked, “If you’re a young man like Rory, you can’t play with worries. You can’t have managerial problems, you can’t have women problems. You’ve got to be out there and have a free mind. And that’s why Arnold [Palmer], Jack [Nicklaus] and I won something like 55 majors between us. Because we had three wives that were very, very special.”
