Kate Upton may be the “hottest Supermodel on the planet” but she isn’t the highest paid model. That title goes to Gisele Bundchen who made more than $42 million last year.
Seeing Gisele on the top of the Highest Paid Models list shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. After all, Bundchen has topped the annual Forbes list for the last 7 years.
Not only has Bundchen topped the list for the last 7 years, but she’s also far and away ahead of her competition. Miranda Kerr, who landed in the No. 2 spot, earned a measly $7 million between June 2012 and June 2013.
So how does Gisele Bundchen continuously land at the top of the Highest Paid Model list?
Well, in addition to her modeling duties she’s also has some very successful business ventures. She has a stake in the Brazilian footwear company Grendene which, according to the Telegraph , has doubled in size since 2012. She also endorses several products like Oral-B and Pantene.
Gisele is also the face of Chanel and H&M.
The one “negative” side to Gisele’s fortune is that she’s $3 million down from last year… So sad.
The Huffington Post reports that Adriana Lima, Kate Moss and Liu Wenn complete the top five.
And in case you were wondering, Kate Upton, who is currently one of the most in demand models in the world, failed to break into the top 10 . But you can expect Upton to make the list next year.
