A congratulations is in order to Cougar Town’s very own Busy Philipps and husband/screenwriter Marc Silverstein. The couple are reportedly expecting their second child together. The couple’s rep confirmed to PEOPLE magazine earlier in the day about the terrific news.
Philipps and Silverstein are already proud parents to Birdie Leigh, 4, who is the spitting image of her mother Busy. The Cougar Town actress broke the news to her Twitter family by posting a picture of her positive pregnancy test results attached to the tweet was, “So this happened.”
The Cougar Town star, who seems to have a great sense of humor about her mediocre fame joked about her pregnancy in the past saying, “I only became a celebrity because I had a kid. Before I was pregnant nobody cared. I joke to my agent that having a baby made my career.”
Looks like baby number two will be another career boost for Busy Philipps. As for her husband Marc Silverstein, he has had success writing The Vow , Valentine’s Day , He’s Just Not That Into You , and Never Been Kissed .
As for her birthing plan, mum’s the word, but when Birdie was on her way apparently Philipps was brave enough to go without the extra help, telling Us Weekly , “I had a baby with no pain medicine, mainly because most people I talked to didn’t think I’d be able to do it.”
In addition to being a mother for the second time, Philipps is also Godmother to friend Michelle Williams’ child Matilda Ledger.
