Hayden Panettiere is engaged!
The Nashville star appeared on Live With Kelly & Michael this morning and after she had a little fun with Michael Strahan (she entered the set wearing a boa constrictor around her neck) she confessed to Kely Ripa that she was engaged to boxer Wladimir Klitschko.
Ripa said : “I’m sort of distracted, not just by the snake, but there’s a very large diamond ring on your ring finger…. I’m not sure if you want to announce anything…. Does that signify anything, is that a promise of something?”
Panettiere said : “It might be…. I mean, I think it speaks for itself… I am (engaged).”
The actress said that she hasn’t set a date yet.
USA Today notes that Panettiere and Klitschko first met at a party in 2009. The couple broke up once but they got back together last spring.
The actress hasn’t kept her relationship to Klitschko a secret but it’s also something that she doesn’t flaunt around in public. In fact, Panettiere said that she doesn’t understand why her relationship status is news.
The actress said: “It blows my mind sometimes that us getting together has gotten so much attention. It’s like, Really? This is breaking news?”
