Ashley Judd and husband Dario Franchitti seemed headed for an imminent divorce, but a near-fatal crash may have changed that.
The couple has been on the rocks for months, and in January the couple finally annouced that they were ending their marriage of 11 years.
But after Dario was involved in a horrific crash in Houston that sent him to the hospital, the couple appears to have put aside their problems.
The accident happened as Dario was trying to pass Tamuka Sato during the last lap of the Houston Grand Prix. As he passed he clipped Sato’s car and was sent into the fence. Debris was sent flying into the stands, and 13 spectators and one track official were injured.
The crash itself looked terrible, and after Dario was rushed to the hospital it was unclear how he would fare.
After seeing the crash, Ashley Judd sprang to be by her husband’s side.
“Thank you for the prayers for @dariofranchitti I have only clothes on my back & the dogs but that’s all that we need & we are on our way,” she tweeted .
Reports said Dario Franchitti broke his right ankle and suffered two fractured vertebrae as well as a concussion. He underwent surgery on Sunday night and is expected to stay in the hospital for a few more days to recover.
He will have Ashley Judd by his side as he recovers. On Monday she tweeted that she plans to stay with him during the ordeal.

It’s unclear where their divorce stands — some reports say that neither actually filed papers — but some are saying that Ashley Judd and Dario Franchitti are back together .
