Alexis Bledel and Vincent Kartheiser are engaged. The two actors met on the set of Mad Men last year, as they played opposite each other in a short arc that saw Bledel as a love interest for Kartheiser.
However, their brief stint working together seemed to stick. Kartheiser and Bledel broke the news that they have been dating for “a few months” back in June. Now a friend of the couple reveals to US Weekly that they’re engaged : “Vincent proposed a few weeks ago. She’s been wearing her ring. It’s huge!”
The blue eyed thespians stepped out for the first time publicly as they attended the SAG awards together. Earlier this year, the show Mad Men was nominated twice for Best Ensemble In A Drama Series, and star Jon Hamm was nominated for Outstanding Performance By A Male Actor In A Drama Series. Although the two didn’t walk home with statues it seems like they still had much more.
A source elaborated on Vincent Kartheiser and Alexis Bledel’s relationship by saying: “They are so cute together!” We can’t exactly argue with that. Aside from the fact that they slightly resemble each other, the two do look very good together as a pair.
In the past Bledel has been linked to Gilmore Girls love Milo Ventimiglia, while Kartheiser has dated Rachel Leigh Cook. The now engaged couple also attended Bledel’s friend and costar Blake Lively’s wedding to Ryan Reynolds last year. At that wedding was mutual Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants costar Amber Tamblyn and her then-fiance and now-husband David Cross.
While the newly engaged actress hasn’t spoken about her love with Kartheiser, she did address those pesky Fifty Shades of Grey rumors, that have her in the running for lead Anastasia Steele: “All I know about are some fan-made trailers on the internet I’ve seen, but that’s the only thing I’ve heard.”
