The popular male dog names Bear and Rocky have also both been on the top 10 list for the past 13 years, with Rocky consistently placing in the top 5 during this time.
2012 also trended towards more human names, such as: Max, Buddy, Charlie, Jack, Toby, Daisy, Lucy, Molly, Lola, Sophie, Sadie, Chloe and Maggie. The name Lola actually climbed 3 spots on the list this year to number 5, with the name Coco appearing for the first time on the top 10.
