A man thought to be responsible for the Roosevelt Field Shooting , in which one person was killed and one sustained non-life-threatening injuries has been identified as Sang Ho Kim.
Police in Nassau County held a press conference about the shooting near Roosevelt Field Mall, which prompted a lockdown.
The mall, not the site of the shooting, remains on lockdown as police search for the suspected shooter in the area.
Sang Ho Kim, 63, is described as a former employee of a local business, and cops say that the shooting was workplace related. During a press conference, the Nassau chief of police said that the incident “does not [seem] to be an active shooter,” adding that “the place of business seems to be targeted.”
On Twitter, some reports have suggested that the suspected shooter was angry about a soured business deal, prompting the shooting:

As of early afternoon, Kim was still believed to be at large in the area of the Roosevelt Field Mall shooting, and police described him as an Asian man wearing a red shirt and standing between six feet tall and six feet, three inches.
Nassau Police say Kim is 63, and possibly driving a white SUV with the license plate FMA 3648. Authorities say they do not believe the suspected shooter is on a “rampage,” nor that area residents are at risk after the incident in Garden City earlier today.
