Kris Humphries, Kim Kardashian’s much maligned future ex-husband, cut a funny Super Bowl commercial with Houston Rockets star James Harden that has now hit the internet.
Made for Foot Locker, the satirical premise of the Kris Humphries Super Bowl commercial is that NBA players can trade members of their entourage in the event of serious transgressions, such as wearing the same sneakers two days in a row. Which is, as you’ll see below, what happened to “Maurice.”
As the Bleacher Report explains,
“Instead of going to fun parties, he now finds himself with Humphries and the rest of the entourage in Humphries’ home, just staring into the mirror and saying how great the Nets forward is.
“On one hand, it’s good to see that Humphries does see a “changed man,” and is able to sort of make fun of himself following the Kim Kardashian. On the other hand, it’s hard to not feel bad for Maurice. He went from hanging out with Harden and his gang and having fun to just sitting around with Humphries, being quiet and boring.”
In the commercial, Maurice has to unenthusiastically tell Humphries that he is “a cool guy.”
Although this might not be the best Super Bowl commercial you’ll see during the official broadcast on Sunday, the Brooklyn Nets forward should get some credit for being able to laugh at himself. In other words, he’s a good “sport.”
