Disney has a long history of turning its biggest hits into Broadway sell outs, and Frozen isn’t going to be an exception. The stage version of Disney’s biggest grossing film is set to begin in the spring of 2018 and it will play at the St. James Theater, no doubt to sold out crowds full of delighted children and adults.

The show’s casting has just been completed and the full cast was just announced on Playbill.

The leads of the show include Caissie Levy as Elsa, Patti Murin as Anna, Jelani Alladin as Kristoff, Greg Hildreth as Olaf, John Riddle as Hans, and Robert Creighton as Duke of Weselton, as previously announced.

New additions to the cast include Kevin Del Aguila as Oaken, Timothy Hughes as Pabbie, and Andrew Pirozzi as Sven. Audrey Bennett and Mattea Conforti, who will both play Young Anna in alternate performances, and Brooklyn Nelson and Ayla Schwartz who will also alternate in the role of Young Elsa.

Alyssa Fox has been welcomed on board in the role of Elsa’s understudy while Aisha Jackson will take on the part of Anna’s understudy.

Also included in the cast as the ensemble and smaller roles in the production include Alicia Albright, Tracee Beazer, Wendi Bergamini, Ashley Blanchet, James Brown III, Claire Camp, Lauren Nicole Chapman, Spencer Clark, Jeremy Davis, Kali Grinder, Ashley Elizabeth Hale, Zach Hess, Donald Jones, Jr., Nina Lafarga, Ross Lekites, Austin Lesch, Synthia Link, Travis Patton, Adam Perry, Jeff Pew, Olivia Phillip, Noah J. Ricketts, Ann Sanders, Jacob Smith, and Nicholas Ward.

Unfortunately, no one from the original film will be appearing in the stage version, despite the fact that the cartoon version included the voices of some seasoned Broadway veterans like Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad. However, the original cast will reunite for a Frozen 2 which is slated to debut in 2019.

Frozen joins The Lion King and Aladdin as the third Disney show to be up and running currently.

Before Frozen heads to the Big Apple, it will premiere on August 17 in Denver for a pre-Broadway engagement. It will run through October 1 before heading back to New York for further workshopping and rehearsals prior to its Spring 2018 debut.
