In sports — and apparently in advertising — it is said that records are meant to be broken.

With that in mind, Go Daddy is apparently cashing in on all the buzz surrounding its Super Bowl commercials.

Actor Jesse Heiman a.k.a “Walter” was apparently correct when he said yesterday that the Go Daddy Super Bowl commercials helped sales go through the roof on Monday.

The company claims it had the most successful Super Bowl Sunday ever. In a statement, Go Daddy said that the two 30-second ads, the most notable one featuring supermodel Bar Refaeli and Heiman, “delivered more new customers and more overall sales, as compared to any other Super Bowl campaign in the company’s history.”

Mashable obtained data from Go Daddy on its Monday sales record as compared to 2012:

  • Hosting sales jumped 45%.
  • Dot-com domain sales rose 40%.
  • New mobile customers increased by 35%.
  • The company added 10,000 customers in total

Commenting on the controversial Bar Refaeli Super Bowl ad, Go Daddy big daddy Bob Parsons said: “Inappropriate? Hearing that word, I absolutely knew we were in for a record Super Bowl ad campaign. And by the way, I think both of our ads were the funniest in the game, by far.”

Advertisers paid CBS about $3.8 million for a 30-second Super Bowl spot during the game on Sunday night.

In addition to the Bar Refaeli “perfect match” ad, Go Daddy also aired a far less edgy commercial during the Super Bowl called “your big idea.” In case you missed it amidst all the hoopla, watch it below.
