‘Power’ Season Finale: Three Things To Expect From Season 4

Now that the much-talked-about Power Season finale is behind us, speculation has already begun about Power Season 4, which is currently in the process of being filmed for Starz. As the number-one rated show for the Lionsgate-owned network, the Power Season finale was a ratings winner, and Season 4 promises to be just as much of a hit for Starz as the previous seasons.

But with all of the violence and craziness of the show, what can we expect from Season 4? We’ve come up with this list of three things to watch out for when Power returns to Starz, based on the explosive season finale.

1. Ghost will fight to redeem himself Deadline Hollywood sat down with Courtney Kemp after the Power season finale to talk about the upcoming season. Kemp, who is the showrunner and one of the executive producers, told the outlet that fans can expect Ghost to fight for himself, especially in the face of Tommy’s madness.

“So now we’ve already done the thing that we thought we were going to do and now the audience is going, “What are they going to do next?” And I think what you’re going to see is that Ghost fights to redeem himself from this charge, which is a wrongful charge, he did not kill Greg. Tommy is really going to redefine himself as a connect. He’s getting bigger and bigger. He’s the biggest G******ed drug dealer in New York City, not Ghost. So we’re going to see that happen.”

2. Ghost and Tasha will still be together Just before the Power season finale aired, Entertainment Weekly sat down with Omari Hardwick , who plays Ghost on the show. Omari was quick to point out that Ghost’s relationship with Tasha will still continue in Season 4, and beyond, because the two have a history together that can’t be compromised. Hardwick said that this aspect of Ghost and Tasha’s relationship is very realistic.

“I don’t think there’s a fan out there who hasn’t had a family member or known someone personally who’s been in the midst of divorce, perhaps not necessarily gotten the divorce or executed it, or perhaps they have and still, in many cases, they found themselves back with the person that they were married to. [They] share three kids! This guy’s so loyal for Tasha for many reasons. There’s no way it can’t impact what lies ahead. And I don’t even mean in terms of the finale — I mean in terms of the next season.”

3. We will learn the fate of Lobos and LaKeisha Though there was no mention of either Lobos or LaKeisha in the Power season finale, there’s plenty of reason to believe that we will learn their fates come Season 4 . According to Vulture , not knowing the whereabouts of LaKeisha is frustrating, but there’s good reason to believe that that’s the first thing we’ll see when Season 4 finally airs on Starz. Likewise, it’s pretty obvious, at this point, that Lobos is dead, but like all good dramas, there’s plenty of reason to believe that he’ll make a surprise appearance in the first episode of Season 4.

Though there was reason to believe that the Power season finale was filmed with the idea that it wouldn’t be returning for a Season 4, that speculation was put to rest when it was revealed that Power will return for at least two more seasons. With the accolades, ratings, and online buzz about Power being as strong as it is, it doesn’t look like the show will be going anywhere soon.

And though the Power season finale has already aired and Season 4 is already being filmed, there’s no word yet on when Season 4 will premiere. What did you think of the Power season finale?
