Jay Z and Beyoncé have topped Forbes Magazine Highest Earning Celebrity Couple List for the second year running.
Yes, the first couple of music don’t just perform together, they make serious money too.
It’s estimated the entertainment titans pulled in an estimated $95 million haul between June 2012 and June 2013.
The $64 million question, of course, is how did Beyoncé and Jay Z rise to the top? Forbes states they arrived at their figures after talking to agents, producers, managers, and other experts. Fees and taxes were not subtracted from the estimates.
Forbes reveal Beyoncé, 32, earned $11 million more than husband Jay Z because of her ongoing world tour, “The Mrs. Carter Show,” which grossed an average of $2 million per concert.
The mother-of-one topped her income streams with profits from her House of Dereon clothing line and her successful fragrances.
Jay Z boosted his earnings from 2011 album Watch the Throne and same name tour and the sale of his stake in the Brooklyn Nets basketball team before starting his own sports agency. The rap mogul also has a stake in highly successful artists such as Rihanna and Rita Ora as well as other business interests .
However, the Brooklyn native’s latest album Magna Carta… Holy Grail , released on July 4 was not eligible to count toward his earnings. Neither did his 2013 “Legends of the Summer” joint tour with singer-songwriter Justin Timberlake.
Coming in just below Beyoncé and Jay Z’s by some margin were model Gisele Bundchen and her football-player husband Tom Brady, who pulled in $80 million and also retained the same position they achieved last year.
Super-parent actors, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, placed third with $50 million, which is a jump of one spot on the list from last year.
Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, a relatively newish power couple, came fourth on Forbes list with a combined wealth of $ 35 million, followed by new parents Kim Kardashian and rapper Kanye West, who brought up the well-heeled rear with $30 million.
