Are Robert Pattinson and Katy Perry a thing? Not exactly. The “Roar” singer is in a relationship with musician John Mayer. Robert Pattinson on the other hand is a free man. Pattinson hasn’t been seen with too many women outside his leading ladies, but it doesn’t come as a shocker that he would have dinner with Katy Perry.
The two were recently spotted having dinner together, and it looked as though both Pattinson and Perry were having a good time chatting it up. Pattinson, who has had a difficult year dealing with a very public mess of a relationship, was laughing it up with Perry in an intimate setting.
This isn’t the first dinner that Pattinson has shared with Perry. When Pattinson was on the outs with his ex-love Kristen Stewart, it was rumored that Katy Perry caught his eye in a big way and that the pair were gallivanting all over town. The two were spotted apparently canoodling at a restaurant, but then they both denied the romance and said they were just friends.
In the last year, Pattinson has had to endure a turmoil filled relationship with Kristen Stewart. The pair broke up after Stewart was photographed cheating on Pattinson with director Rupert Sanders, and then, to Pattinson’s mortification, released a public apology to Pattinson for her relationship with Sanders.
Usually in Hollywood one denial would suffice, but Katy Perry needed to get the message out loud and clear, and that is that she was not stealing Kristen’s man.
In an interview with Elle UK , Perry revealed that she squashed any beef that might have come from the rumors swirling around her relationship with Robert through texts with Stewart. The singer revealed:
“I sent her [Stewart] a text message saying: ‘I know you’ve seen all this stuff but you know I would never disrespect you. I’m not that person. I’m just trying to be a friend to him but it is unfortunate that I do have a set of t*ts.’”
From there Perry has also said that the two are so comfortable with each other that she lets her flatulence go in front of Pattinson. Well, that’s one way to clear the air, Katy Perry! In the same interview she said, “I fart in front of him. Properly fart. And I never, ever fart in front of a man I am dating. That’s a rule.”
Although it’s obvious that Katy Perry is very much in love with John Mayer , if things don’t work out again, she does look awfully cute with Robert Pattinson.
