A man has turned himself in after he was caught robbing a 7-Eleven store in Ocala, Florida during which he told the attendant that he would pay him back later.

Fabian Morrison committed the act on Wednesday morning. The 21-year-old sauntered into the shop before telling the clerk, “Bro, I got something to tell you.” He then walked behind the counter of the shop, which, according to the Sarasota Police Department, was on 17th Street and U.S. 301.

The attendant revealed that Morrison had a three-foot-long stick in his possession, which he then brandished and threatened to use on him, before demanding all of the business’ money.

WWSB ABC News-7 in Sarasota has confirmed that before he began the robbery, Morrison told the clerk, “Bro, I got something to tell you.”

A press release from the Sarasota Police Department has since confirmed that after being given the money, Morrison then told the clerk, “Don’t call the cops. I’ll pay you back later, bro. I’m really ****** up.”

However, Morrison was eventually caught after his own mother intervened. She saw a clip of the incident on the news, and then confronted her son.

After he confessed to the entire ordeal, she then took him to the front desk of the Sarasota Police Department, where he told detectives that he was the individual who was on the video. Morrison has since been charged with Armed Robbery.

Police added in the statement:

On September 4, 2013, at 11:30 PM, Fabian L. Morrison, black male, date of birth : 11/24/91, of Ocala Florida, showed up at the front desk of the Sarasota Police Department after seeing himself on the surveillance video that was played on the news that night.

It then concluded:

Fabian Morrison was interviewed by detectives and admitted he was the person on the video. Morrison was charged with Armed Robbery and transported to the Sarasota County Jail.
