Courtney Stodden hinted on Celebrity Big Brother this week that she was thinking about leaving her husband Doug Hutchinson.
Stodden was only 16-years-old when she married Hutchinson in 2011 and she’s just starting to realize what it feels like to be an independent. Stodden has been starring on Celebrity Big Brother UK which has forced her to stay away from Hutchinson and learn a little bit about herself.
Apparently she’s learned that she might not want to spend the rest of her life with her 53-year-old husband.
Stodden said that she always been dependent on Doug and that she’s afraid of what will happen when she leaves the Big Brother house.
Stodden said : “He means so much more to me than this freaking house and I don’t want to leave this house feeling so strong and independent that I can’t depend on him anymore. I don’t ever want him to let go and I don’t want him to let go.”
Stodden doesn’t want to lose Doug but she also knows that their relationship isn’t going to be the same. She isn’t a 16-year-old girl anymore and she knows that she can make it on her own.
The young star said: “I’m trying to balance everything. I’m only 19 and I’m trying to balance everything.”
Stodden is concerned with the future of her marriage and apparently so is Doug. A source told the Daily Mail that Doug is “freaking out” about Stodden’s comments.
The source said : “Doug is freaking out! He is worried Courtney is over him after what she said. It seems the Big Brother house has opened her eyes to the big wide world – and she knows she has a good chance of making it as a star in her own right now she has survived the public vote again.”
