Olivia Newton-John, the famous Australian Grease star, now aged 64, and her husband John Easterling were notified of an apparent suicide, which took place in their home in Florida, on Monday.
The Palm Beach Post reports that at around midday a contractor employed by Newton-John, to carry out work on their house, killed himself. Local police received a call at around 12:15 p.m. telling them that one of the contractors working in the house had committed suicide.
It is reported that one of the contractors carrying out work at Olivia Newton-John’s house was clearly distressed and was seen crying earlier that morning. It appears to be that contractor who died at the scene.
Even though the incident appears to be a case of suicide the Jupiter Inlet Colony police are treating it as a death investigation. Work is allegedly being carried out to the home, which is slated to be sold for $5.6 million .
The contractor who allegedly committed suicide has not been identified, the only thing known is that he was male and aged 42. Police findings as to what exactly happened at Olivia Newton-John’s home will be forthcoming in the net few weeks.
